Knowing where to begin when preparing for college is often a complicated process. Even as a Sophomore there are many things that you can do to help prepare you for college.

Freshman | Junior | Senior

Continue reading and working on your writing skills. Start to familiarize yourself with current affairs.
Continue to be involved in extracurricular activities in and out of school.
Take the PSAT in October; it is given to juniors but sophomores are encouraged to take it.
Start to research colleges. Who offers what? How much is college? Am I taking the right classes?
Discuss with your counselor the classes you have taken and plan your classes for junior year. Make sure these classes meet the requirements colleges have as well as meet your academic plans and goals.
Keep your grades up, remembering that colleges look at your cumulative high school GPA.
Visit a college campus to see what they are like and to get more information.
Continue to save for college.
